By day, the Great Wolf Lodge Niagara Falls is the ultimate family fun zone and Canada's largest indoor water park.

But when the sun goes down during Halloween season, the lodge undergoes a transformation and becomes a surreal, spooky setting for a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience.

It's all part of a "Howl-O-Ween at the Wolf'' from Oct. 14 to 31.

The family extravaganza begins at the door with intricate haunted lodge decor and includes daily activities for families that are fun, safe and a bit scary.

Families will enjoy a trick-or-treating trail that coils through a haunted forest, a monster mash family dance, pumpkin carving, witchy crafts, costume parade and contest, spooky story time and wolf science.

The lodge houses a massive all-indoor water park featuring 13 water-slides, three pools, two whirlpools, a large, outdoor heated spa, a giant wave pool and 500,000-litre lazy river.

There is also a four-story interactive treehouse water fort that offers 12 levels of super-soaking fun and the Niagara Rapid Run, a water roller coaster.

For reservations visit, waterpark or call 800-605- 9653.
