TORONTODonald Trump and his children were in Toronto Monday to take part in the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Trump International Hotel & Tower.
At a news conference held in a packed ballroom full of investors and media, six gold-plated scissors were carried in on silver platters for the ceremony.
Alongside Trump was his daughter Ivanka and sons Eric and Donald Jr.
“Eight years ago I began this voyage,” Trump said about the 65-storey building on Bay St. “And it has worked out to be a beautiful voyage.”
The building has been open for business since the end of January.
