Red carpet report card: Cannes and Glamour Awards

  1. Gowns were just as bright as the carpet they fluttered over this week, with celebrities wearing pops of colour in Cannes and London. Even Kristen Stewart abandoned the little black dress and wore sexy scarlet to her boyfriend's premiere.
  2. Star: Kristen Stewart Event: "Cosmopolis" premiere during the 65th annual Cannes Film Festival Grade: B+ (begrudgingly) We were all set to give Stewart her first "A" but then we saw the awkward loops on the back of her Reem Acra gown and bumped it down a half grade.     Star: Diane Kruger Event: Closing ceremony and "Therese Desqueyroux" premiere during the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival Grade: A The full bustle on Kruger's Christian Dior haute couture gown (left, on the runway) earned her look its fair share of mocking, but we think the Cannes juror carried it off brilliantly with minimal accessories and an impish smile that showed she knew the dress was a little outlandish. Star: Nicole Kidman Event: "The Paperboy" premiere during the 65th Cannes Film Festival Grade: B+ Even after hearing about a cringe-worthy pee scene in her upcoming movie, we can't deny the 44-year-old actress looked lovely in a vermilion red Lanvin gown that showed off her toned upper body and creamy complexion. Elegant diamond jewels, a pretty up-do and what seems to be a genuine smile made Witherspoon look like a pregnant glamour Barbie doll (if they made that kind). According to Foodista.com, Longoria, who went all-out in Marchesa recently at Cannes, is currently on a pretty strict diet that doesn't allow bread, pasta or rice, saying, "It's hard but it works, I lost pounds."
