For those who like it hot, the Weather Network's summer outlook will be just what they were hoping for.
The weather channel predicts normal to above normal temperatures across the country. The Prairies and Atlantic Canada have the greatest chance of seeing more hot days, but most of Canada will experience extended periods of warm weather, the Weather Network said in a release Monday.
West of Ontario, there will be normal precipitation, but those longer periods of warm weather could heighten the potential for forest fires.
While it's expected to be warmer in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador, those provinces can also expect more precipitation.
Ontario and Quebec will see temperatures and precipitation in the normal ranges.
