Countries with the most, least vacation time
A new survey from Hotels.com has revealed that workers in Russia get more vacation time than workers anywhere else on Earth. By combining the total number of domestic public holidays with the average amount of annual leave given from work, Hotels.com ranked 30 countries to determine who has the most and least amount of time off work.
Russians have 12 public holidays in a year and receive, on average, 28 days of annual leave for a total of 40 days off work each year. Canadians receive the second least amount of vacation time in the world, with a total of 15 days off work each year, followed only by Mexicans, who receive just 13 days off a year.
