Vancouver-based Edible Canada, the nation's largest culinary travel company, has teamed with Finisterra Travel and Air North for a week-long journey aboard a private jet, with stops for gourmet dinners and northern adventures along the way.

Called "A Once in a Lifetime Trip Across the Top of Canada," guests will stop in Whitehorse, Yellowknife, Rankin Inlet, Iqaluit and St. John's for meals created by some of the country's top chefs: Ned Bell, soon-to-be Ocean Wise Executive Chef of the Vancouver Aquarium, Rob Gentile of Bar Buca in Toronto, Derek Damman of Montreal's Maison Publique and Jeremy Charles of Raymonds in St. John's.

Excursion add-ons include wildlife viewing, hiking, art tours, cooking classes, photography lessons and visits to remote villages and historical sights.

Guests can also choose to add an optional two-night stay at Newfoundland & Labrador's Fogo Island Inn at the end of the trip, where celebrity chef Michael Smith will join travellers and the in-house chef to create a local feast.

"This incredible culinary experience is literally 'over-the-top'," said Eric Pateman, founder and president of Edible Canada, in a statement. "It will showcase some of our country's most delicious, delightful and dramatic experiences in incredible style."

Rates start at $11,995 per person. The package includes airfare from Whitehorse to St. John's on a private jet with a four person concierge team, photographer, videographer and wildlife specialist, seven nights' accommodations, four dinners, a picnic lunch, daily activities, ground transportation and airport transfers. Only 60 spots are available for the June 16 - 23, 2017 trip. For more details or to book, email ep@ediblecanada.com.
