Francis Ford Coppola is praising his "beautiful" voyage aboard the recently renovated Queen Mary 2.
The famed director and producer set sail aboard the Cunard Line ship in late July with his wife Eleanor, undertaking an eight-night cross-Atlantic trip departing from New York.
"Beautiful voyage," Coppola said after disembarking in Southampton, England. "Everyone was so gracious and attentive to us."
The Queen Mary 2 was christened by Queen Elizabeth in 2004. Other celebrities who have sailed aboard the ship include James Taylor, Wes Anderson, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, George Takei, Uma Thurman, John Cleese and Angela Bassett.
The Queen Mary 2 recently underwent a $132 million renovation, including new carpets, paint, restaurants, public areas and redesigned cabins -- including rooms for solo travellers.
