Storm warning for SW Ontario could bring 15-20 cm

Keep those snow shovels and car brushes handy, folks -- another storm system is dropping in on us.

Environment Canada has now issued a weather warning for most of Southwestern Ontario that a weekend snowfall may total 15 to 20 centimetres.

The weather service says a low-pressure system from Colorado will linger over the Great Lakes into Monday morning.

Unlike Friday morning's snowfall that brought isolated squalls to parts of the region and left other areas cold but snow-less, this one is forecast to be widespread across the region, Environment Canada says.

By Monday morning, some communities, particularly those nearest Lake Erie, may see the snow turn to rain.
