At least one injured in crash in Simcoe

At least one person was injured in a two-vehicle collision Thursday morning that disrupted traffic on Norfolk Street North in Simcoe.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Riverside Drive, which runs behind Staples and Shoppers Drug Mart near the intersection of Norfolk Street North and the Queensway.

The vehicles involved were a Ford SUV and a white Volkswagen. Airbags on the VW were deployed.

Norfolk OPP have yet to release details of the mishap. Norfolk paramedics were seen at the scene loading a person into an ambulance on a stretcher. The crash occurred around 9 a.m.
