Police blotter: Fireworks thrown at vehicle

Police are investigating after several lit fireworks were thrown at a vehicle on the Queensway East in Simcoe on Tuesday.
The fireworks were tossed by a passenger from one vehicle towards the other.
The driver was startled, said Norfolk OPP, but was able to safely stop their vehicle.
The incident occurred at just before 6 p.m.
The suspect vehicle is described as a red Jeep Cherokee.

Mischief to arena, skate park
The Port Dover arena and skateboard park were damaged by culprits armed with spray paint.
Graffiti was spray-painted on the property sometime between June 1 and June 13.
Norfolk County employees contacted police about the damage early Tuesday afternoon.
Norfolk OPP are seeking the public's assistance in identifying those responsible. Anyone with information about the incident or who can identify the suspects is asked to contact the Norfolk OPP detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
A vehicle was stolen from Kent Street in Courtland on Wednesday.
Norfolk OPP say a pickup truck from the driveway of a residence was taken in the wee hours of the morning.
The vehicle is described as a 1981, orange-coloured, GMC C15 with chrome rims.
Theft from store
Police are investigating after shoplifters targeting the Source store in downtown Simcoe on Tuesday.
Two unknown males were in the store at between 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. when they proceeded to leave without paying for merchandise.
The duo exited the store and entered a vehicle parked nearby. The vehicle was last seen heading south on Norfolk Street South.
The first suspect is described as a white male, thin with a short build, about 5-foot-3-inches in height. He was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans and was seen carrying a white plastic bag.
The second suspect is a white male, about 5-foot-three-inches in height, weighing 230-240 pounds. He was unshaven and was wearing a black shirt and shorts at the time of the theft. He was observed walking with a noticeable limp.
The vehicle is an older style grey, Volkswagen with plain rims.

Purse stolen from vehicle
A purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Neil Street in Simcoe on Tuesday afternoon.
Norfolk OPP say the theft occurred in the early morning hours. The purse contained personal and financial information.
Glass door damaged
Police are investigating after a door was damaged at the Tim Hortons restaurant on Water Street in Simcoe.
A restaurant employee reported the incident to police at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say an unknown male damaged the glass window in the exit door.
Licence plate stolen
A licence plate was stolen from a motorcycle on a James Street property in Delhi on Tuesday.
The motorcycle owner reported the theft to police at about 9:30 p.m.
