Motorcyclist injured in crash

A man is in hospital following a collision involving a motorcycle in the west end of the city Sunday afternoon.

Police and paramedics were called to at March Rd. near Shirley’s Brook Dr. in Kanata at about 1 p.m. for a serious single-vehicle collision involving a single motorcycle.

Paramedics attended to a man in his 50’s who was then sent to hospital with severe life threatening head injuries.

Police have closed the southbound lanes on March Rd. between Morgan’s Grant Way and Terry Fox Dr. and are asking drivers to take an alternate route at this time.

Police continue to investigate.
