A Norfolk man who repeatedly assaulted a woman and threatened her family was sentenced to more than 100 days in jail in Simcoe court recently.

Justin Anthony Morris, 29, of no fixed address, was originally charged with assaults on five different dates from January to April. He pleaded guilty to two assaults, threatening death or bodily harm and failure to comply with probation orders.

Morris was given credit by Justice Kevin Sherwood for having served 100 days in jail and ordered to serve a further week.

He was ordered to supply some DNA to the national offenders databank and not to own or use weapons for 10 years.

Morris has to pay $400 in victim surcharge fines and make restitution of $475.
