Police blotter: Strangers enter Simcoe home

A Simcoe resident awoke early Friday morning to discover an unknown man and woman in their home.

The Oakwood Avenue homeowner reported the incident to Norfolk OPP shortly after 4 a.m. on Friday.

The duo left the home after being confronted by the resident. Medication had been removed from the residence.

The pair was last seen leaving the area in a white sports utility vehicle.

Indecent act on porch

A homeowner contacted police early Saturday after observing a man and woman engaged in an indecent act on their front porch.

Norfolk OPP were called to the Culver Street home at about 12:41 a.m.

The couple fled before police arrived.

Attempted theft

Someone attempted to steal a sports utility vehicle parked at the Legion in Port Dover on Friday night.

Sometime between 6 p.m. and 7:48 p.m., the culprit gained entry into the vehicle parked in the Royal Canadian Legion parking lot on Market Street East. The vehicle's steering column and ignition were damaged in the attempted theft.
