Police blotter: Woman assaulted while walking dog



Norfolk OPP is investigating an assault that took place on Norfolk Street South in Simcoe at about 9:25 a.m. Monday.

Police say a man and woman were walking their dog when they were approached by another male and female couple.

A verbal confrontation ensued at which time both suspects began to kick the dog after it began barking. The female owner of the dog then confronted the male who then assaulted her.

The male suspect was described as white, about 19 years of age, 5-foot-7-inches in height, 150 lbs, with short brown hair and wearing glasses. The female suspect is described as white with a short build, 16-19 years of age with curly hair.

Both suspects were reportedly walking with a husky described as white with grey fur and a black cocker spaniel before the altercation took place.

Theft of dock

A floating personal watercraft dock was removed from a residence on Ordnance Avenue in Turkey Point sometime between Oct. 20 and Oct. 22

The theft is valued at about $5,000. The OPP want to remind all community residents that if they observe any suspicious activity to please contact the police immediately.
