Police blotter: Ryerson Camp vandalized
The Ryerson Summer Camp on Front Road suffered a setback recently following a theft and vandalism spree at the property.
Sometime between Oct. 23 and Monday, someone broke into several of the cabins at the site and spray-painted doors and wells. Items inside the cabins were up-ended and strewn about.
A storage building was also broken into. Stolen was a John Deere riding lawn mower.
Police were alerted to the situation Monday morning. The camp is located along the Lake Erie shoreline in the former Charlotteville Township.

Car vandalized in Simcoe
A car was vandalized in Simcoe this week.
The vehicle was parked overnight Monday on Emily Street.
Police have determined that someone spray-painted the hood in the early hours of Monday.
Norfolk OPP are investigating.
Stunt driving charges
A Port Dover teen was charged this week after police clocked a driver travelling at an excessive speed.
Norfolk OPP clocked the motorist travelling at more than 50 kilometres an hour over the posted limit of 80 kilometres an hour on Blue Line Road south of Waterford.
The pullover occurred around 4 p.m. Monday. The 19-year-old male has been charged with stunt driving and driving with a G1 licence unsupervised by a qualified driver.
The vehicle he was driving was impounded for seven days. The accused also had his driving privileges suspended for a week.
He will answer to the charges at a later date at the Norfolk County court house.
