A Tecumseh man, who was drunkenly shouting, swearing and fighting in public after being ordered not to consume alcohol, was sentenced to 75 days in jail last month in Ontario Court.

Kyle Robert Crowder, 26, pleaded guilty to assaulting a man in Norfolk County and failing to comply with his bail conditions in connection with the July 25 incident.

Charges of causing mischief under $5,000, causing a disturbance and obstructing a peace officer were all withdrawn.

According to police, Crowder damaged a woman's vehicle during his angry outbreak and, when police tried to arrest him, he fought them.

Justice Colette Good credited Crowder with 75 days of time already served. She ordered that he remain on probation for two years and submit a sample of his DNA to the national offenders databank.
