Police release image of theft suspect

Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a woman wanted for questioning in connection with a theft at a local Tim Hortons.

The grab-and-go occurred at the Tim Hortons in Waterford around 3 p.m. last Sunday.

The woman in question got out of a white Chevrolet Cruz while it was parked in the drive-thru.

The woman entered the store and spoke to an employee about a previous order.

The woman asked for a coupon for a future purchase. The employee was in the process of giving her one when the suspect reached over the counter, grabbed a handful of coupons out of the employee’s hand, and left the building.

Images of the suspect and the vehicle she arrived in were captured by a surveillance camera.

The suspect is thin with long black hair. She was wearing a red winter coat, a bulky winter toque and dark-coloured tights.

As she left the premises, the woman re-entered the Chevrolet through the passenger-side door.
