$30,000 statue stolen in break-in

COURTLAND - 

A porcelain and gold statue of a young girl and a cow worth $30,000 was stolen from a Courtland-area home during a recent break-in.

The break-in took place at a home on Highway 59 in Courtland sometime between Wednesday Dec. 27 between 2 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

The thief or thieves entered the home and encountered a dog, which they locked in a spare room. They then stole an iPad 2, a small jewelry box that contained two gold rings and three gold necklaces. A box containing the statue was also taken. 

Norfolk OPP are continuing to investigate the break-in and are appealing to the public for assistance.
