DUNNVILLE  - 

Seven people were sent to hospital as a result of a two-vehicle crash near Dunnville on Thursday night.

Four of the injured were children.

The crash occurred at shortly after 7 p.m. on Highway 3 between Ortt Road and James Road.

Haldimand OPP say one vehicle was traveling east and the other was westbound on the highway when they collided.

Four children and two adults from one vehicle were transported to hospital with what are described as serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The male driver of the second vehicle was also transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was the lone person in the vehicle.

Highway 3 remained closed between Ortt Road and James Road on Thursday night for the investigation.
