Police remind the public that anything of value will eventually get stolen if it isn’t kept under lock and key.

The latest petty theft in Norfolk occurred on Park Lane in Simcoe earlier this week.

In the early morning hours of Monday, someone entered an unlocked vehicle and made off with two bottles of medication and two cell phone charging cords.

Norfolk OPP are investigating.

Big screen TV taken

A big screen TV was stolen in Simcoe this week.

The theft occurred on Sunset Drive on Monday.

Police report the home involved was forcibly entered.

Anyone with information related to the theft is asked to contact the Norfolk OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers of Haldimand and Norfolk at 1-800-222-8477.

Callers to Crime Stoppers who help solve a crime are eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.

Bus lights broken

A pellet gun is believed to have been used to shoot out the lights on a bus in Simcoe this week.

The vandalism was brought to the attention of police Monday afternoon.

The vehicle involved is registered to Langs Bus Lines. The bus was parked in a lot near Elizabeth Street when the damage occurred.

Norfolk OPP are investigating.

Ladder stolen in Long Point

A ladder with an estimated value of $300 was stolen in Long Point this week.

The 16-foot ladder went missing from a property on Woodstock Avenue between 4 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. Monday.
