Thousands in cocaine seized

Members of the Norfolk/Haldimand Community Street Crime Unit made a major bust on Wednesday.The unit was conducting patrols in the area of Richardson Drive in Port Dover when a white pickup truck attracted attention.
Police stopped the vehicle and found $27,500 worth of cocaine and a quantity of currency. The vehicle was also seized by OPP street crime unit.
A 37-year-old Norfolk County man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The man will appear in court to answer to the charges at a later date.
