Winter Survival Skills

FAMILY DAY, Monday, February 20th, 1 to 3 pm
Winter Survival Skills
Nature's Calling Environmental Education
In Canada we have winters that are cold and snowy. So, as Canadians, we adapt! This exciting outdoor adventure will provide families with pointers on how to prepare before going out into winter weather and the four basics of survival: warmth, shelter, food and water. Learn how to make fire bundles, melt snow, build a shelter, and how to make winter survival kits for the home in case of an emergency. At the end of the program we’ll enjoy hot chocolate and bannock dogs made over the open fire.
