It’s the second security incident at Drake’s $100-million home in as many days and comes amidst a feud between the Canadian rapper and American rapper Kendrick Lamar. Police are aware of that feud.

Around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, a man was shot outside Drake’s mansion. Police responded to reports of gunfire and found a man injured, who was taken to hospital.

The man was one of Drake’s security guards.

Insp. Paul Krawczyk with the Toronto police Integrated Gun and Gang Task Force said police were searching for multiple suspects in that shooting. Krawzcyk said it was too early to pinpoint a motive and could “not comment further” on whether the feud between Drake and Lamar could be behind the shooting.

When asked if anything was being done to prevent potential suspects from fleeing to the United States — where Lamar, an American, resides — he said the case was being treated like any other investigation.
