A B.C. man is the second Canadian to test positive for the H7N9 avian flu virus, provincial health officials say.
His wife was the first confirmed case.
The unidentified couple is believed to have picked up the virus during a recent trip to China.
The National Microbiology Lab in Winnipeg confirmed the diagnosis.
Both have been treated and released from hospital.
The Public Health Agency of Canada said the risk to the public is low because H7N9 doesn’t transmit easily from person to person.
