Toronto Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed a bus crash into a North York bridge Monday morning to come forward.
Const. Clint Stibbe said the crash, which occurred around 7:15 a.m. near Weston and Albion Rds., is still under investigation.
The driver of a private coach allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a highway overpass, getting the vehicle stuck.
Only the driver was on the bus at the time and he suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Stibbe said.
“Anyone that did see anything, we’re asking they contact police,” he said.
Stibbe said it’s too early to say if there will be any charges laid in relation to the incident. As of Monday night, utilities workers were still on scene. The bus had been freed, but some damage to utilities and the bridge was under repair, Stibbe said.
“They’re still repairing the utilities in the area as well as some additional damage to conduits on the bridge,” he said.
