Justin Bieber has been accused of putting students in danger by gatecrashing a prom in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The Baby hitmaker stunned Chatsworth Charter High School pupils when he turned up unannounced at their dance, which was held at the Jim Henson Studios in Hollywood where Bieber was due to attend a recording session.
However, a spokesperson for the local public school system, the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), has criticized Bieber for ignoring safety warnings.
A statement released to Yahoo Music reads, “The school was aware that Mr. Bieber was at the venue recording, but was assured that he would not come out to interfere with the program. His entourage pushed past the school’s security to gain access to the dance floor and was there for three to four minutes. From the students’ perspective it was a once in a lifetime experience to have him at their prom, but we were extremely concerned for the safety of both our students as well as Mr. Bieber. No student was injured while he was there.”
A representative for Bieber tells the site, “He was in the area and heard and just crashed.”
