Kid vandals threaten man
Oxford OPP urge parents to warn children about the consequences of crime after a group of what appeared to be 10-year-old Tillsonburg children damaged property and threatened a man. About 4 p.m. Friday, a Tillsonburg resident saw kids damaging a mailbox and told them to stop, OPP said. One child tried to assault the man and another said they’d return to do more damage. The kids had damaged decorations and broken windows in the past, police said.
Church faith unshaken
Two con artists couldn’t damage one city church’s faith in Londoners. Two men went to a sale at New St. James Presbyterian Church Nov. 18 and bought items with fake $100 bills, taking the goods and about $160 in change. But on Nov. 26 the church tweeted out better news. “The generosity and kindness of Londoners has replaced, several times over, our losses.”
St. Thomas man charged
A St. Thomas man faces assault charges for an incident reported Nov. 20, St. Thomas police said. The man, 40, who was arrested Nov. 24, is charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, two counts each of threatening death and possessing a dangerous weapon and single counts of assault and threatening to destroy property.
