Glenhyrst Art Gallery of Brant is featuring the works of artists Scott Waters and Derek Boswell in a new exhibition called Sleepscapes. The artists explore the esthetics of night and how darkness, and things hidden by it, can produce extraordinary visions. The exhibit runs July 20 to Sept. 15 at the gallery, located at 20 Ava Rd. in Brantford.

The Port Dover Harbour Museum and Art with Heart Studio have joined forces to create a dynamic new experience for children, aged 8 and older, with a series of History in the Making workshops. Participants will learn of the town’s history through artifacts and will learn techniques to create their own art. On Aug. 9, the museum’s vast photography collection and its preservation will be the focus.  Participants will use a Polaroid camera to produce their own images. The workshop runs from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a fee of $25. Pre-registration is required one week in advance at artwithheartstudio.ca or by calling 226-567-5500.
