Calgarians have a pretty good shot at landing a role as an extra in a television series filming here.
The CBC series Fortunate Son is now looking for men and women between the ages of 18 and 50 years old. It had put out a casting call in early June for extras while shooting in Drumheller.
The spy drama set in the late 1960s will be shooting around Calgary and is looking for “a variety of looks and people with all types of different hair lengths” to be extras.
The eight-episode series is set to air in January 2020 and it explores the antiwar movement of the late 1960s and the American government’s efforts to infiltrate it. It stars Kari Matchett and Stephen Moyer (True Blood).
The open casting call — no experience necessary — takes place on Aug. 24 at Hotel Blackfoot from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
