Crestmont View offers estate living with views of mountains, valley

Two down and 23 to go for Qualico Communities and its stunning vision for its most recent addition to the already successful west-side community of Crestmont.
Since its official launched in the fall, the upscale 25-lot neighbourhood of Crestmont View has recorded two sales — one each by Augusta Fine Homes and Calbridge Homes — with the spring buying season just around the corner.
The two veteran builders have gone all out to present custom estate-style show homes valued at more than $1 million on home sites covering a collection of three unique lot choices.
The treed Woodlands collection provides natural privacy, the Meadows is designed and situated to show mountain views and valley views that looks over gentle grassy slopes.
“Lots of this size are the last of their kind available in a master-planned community, which is something very unique and exciting,” says Qualico marketing director Cheryl Heilman. “The topography of these lands and the views they offer are unlike anything else that can be built in the city.”
As for the show homes, Heilman adds homes of “this level of elegance and detail are something to see.”
The Thompson bungalow by Augusta has approximately 2,150 square feet on the main level and another nearly 1,700 square feet on the finished lower level — and is shown with a five-car garage. The master suite is on the main floor and two bedrooms on the lower level. As well, the home has four bathrooms.
“This home has been designed for today’s modern family and is able to accommodate empty-nesters and those about to be,” says Peter Donovan, area sales manager for Augusta. “There are multiple exterior patios and decks located close to the kitchen, dining room, and great room, making it perfect for large parties.”
With one sale already recorded, Donovan is pleased with reaction from show home visitors.
“We have had exceptional traffic since we opened from those who might be considering relocating to the western tip of Calgary’s boundaries and essentially be a basecamp to the mountains, yet mere minutes to downtown,” he adds.
Like Augusta, Calbridge Homes has much to boast about with its show home in this neighbourhood offering customizable homes.
“We purposely designed a very unique bungalow with a loft that has 5,944 square feet of living space on three levels, taking advantage of the unique characteristics of the home site for both width and views which we believe will be what our homeowners appreciate,” says Pam Goldfeldt, Calbridge’s digital marketing manager.
The Essence model featuring two-storey great room has been designed with 2,954 square feet on the main level, 1,080 square feet in the loft, and another 1,920 square feet of lower-level development.
“Show home visitors are extremely pleased with the overwhelming light provided by the windows on all levels and openness of the floor plan, not to mention the convenience of an elevator for those who would enjoy enhanced mobility, and the outside screened living area for the barbecue enthusiast in all of us,” she says.
Goldfeldt also says show home traffic and public interest has been steady because of the Crestmont View vision of providing an exclusive opportunity to build custom estate homes on acreage lots.
