Ontario Farm Market Summary for Wednesday, September 11

At the Ontario Stockyards, 333 fed cattle were on offer.  Cows and bulls traded barely steady. Veal sold steady to Monday’s market.

Cows: $53.50 – $87.50

Bulls: $70.57 – $105.95

From Ontario Pork:

Quebec’s average price on Tuesday was $161.44 per ckg D.W. 100 index.

The previous markets day’s CME Constructed (201) price was $62.27 U.S.  per cwt. D.W.

Compared to the previous day this was down $1.13

Today we expect the CME Constructed (201) price to decrease $1.50

At the Chicago Board of Trade, corn futures are slightly lower:

DEC19 down 2 at $3.59  1/2

Soybean futures are slightly lower:

NOV19 down 3 at $8.69

NOV19 down 3 at $8.69

Chatham-Kent cash corn: $5.50 – $5.60/bu, $216.33 – $220.26/mt.

Chatham-Kent cash soybeans: $10.64 – $10.69/bu, $390.96 – $392.79/mt.

Grain Farmers Terminal Wheat Bids: Soft White $6.75/bu, $248.02/mt.  Hard Red $7.01/bu, $257.58/mt, Soft Red $6.68/bu, $245.45/mt, Red Spring $6.23/bu, $228.92/mt.
