“The response from exhibitors this year has been terrific, and we are delighted to have a full show with 640 companies represented at this year’s event,” Doug Wagner, the show’s director, said in a release. “Visitors will see their favourite returning companies, as well as a lot of new companies and startups that are bringing fresh ideas to the industry.”
Billed as Eastern Canada’s largest outdoor farm show, the annual event typically welcomes about 40,000 visitors to the sprawling 40-hectare Discovery Farm site for three days of displays and demonstrations of the latest agricultural innovations from leading international companies. This year, the highlights at the 30-year-old show include numerous opportunities to see the latest equipment working in the field, test drives of machinery and chats with leading industry experts.

The live daily demos feature tillage, fertilizer application, forage harvesting and drone piloting, as well as a skid steer ride and drive. The exhibitor demonstrations focus on some of the latest technology, including autonomous agricultural equipment, helicopter spraying and a power-washer demo. On the Discovery Farm site, 15 companies are showcasing their seed, fertilizers and plant-health protection products at crop plot displays. For livestock farmers, there are various pavilions, centres and handling demonstrations for the dairy, beef, goat and sheep industries.
There’s also a few special events – from the AgTech Breakfast that helps connect startups wth farmers to the popular VIP Dairy Producer Brunch.
“There is so much happening in agriculture every year that you simply have to come back each year to keep up with the amazing innovations offered by all the exhibitors and companies involved in Canada’s Outdoor Farm Show,” Wagner said. “It’s an exciting show to attend.”
