Beef barbecue feeds 650

Elgin Beef Farmers were host to their annual beef barbecue at Pinafore Park in St. Thomas. About 650 people enjoyed the meal, which featured Ontario beef, Elgin County sweet corn and potatoes, fresh baked buns, coleslaw and ice cream for dessert.
Proceeds from the barbecue are used to help support local 4H programs and food banks in Elgin County.
This year, the Elgin Beef Farmers were appreciative of the support and sponsorship they received form West Elgin Mutual Insurance, Farm Credit Canada, Agris Cooperative, Huron Tractor Ltd., and Trillium, Mutual Insurance.
