The fourth-annual Dream Team Toy Drive has been launched, at Royal LePage Performance Realty in Cornwall, and it’s never been easier to donate toys.

Sales representatives Jen Blair Manley and Jody Blair, and their client-care co-ordinator, Christal Bowen, have announced their Bring or Ring the Dream Team campaign, giving people the option this time of contributing from the comfort of their own home.

“We’ll go out to get (the contributions),” Bowen said on Tuesday morning, during what turned out to be the first road trip, just down Pitt Street to Kid’s Korner, where store owner Leslie Ouderkirk kick-started the Dream Team’s annual effort with a donation of a couple of bags of toys.

The goal is to fill the office the three Dream Team members share at Royal LePage, and last year, that challenge had the bar raised significantly higher.

The size of the office had been expanded, with a wall coming down to allow more room in the space the three share. The space in the office doubled in size to 5X5 metres, but community support again made it pleasantly difficult for the three to move around in it.

“We had so many bags of toys, the office was full,” Bowen said.

It’s on again, a challenge to “the community to fill our office with donations, new and unwrapped toys,” said Blair Manley. “It’s just lot of fun (to collect gifts), it’s just giving back to families and (children) in the community.”

The Dream Team Toy Drive continues until Dec. 12. That’s the day before the toys will be picked up when the Sparky’s Toy Drive has its annual tour of the city, firefighters making numerous stops across the city, singing Christmas songs at each stop along the way.

Toys can be taken to the Royal LePage building, on 722 Pitt St., Unit 111.
