Fire destroys Selkirk business

One man was injured in a $1-million fire at a business in Selkirk on Wednesday morning.

Haldimand emergency crews responded to the Thomas Solutions commercial vehicle service centre on Main Street West at just after 9 a.m.

Paramedics transported a 21-year-old employee to hospital for treatment.

Some residents in the area were evacuated from their homes due to heavy smoke.

Haldimand County Fire Services concluded the fire is not suspicious.
