A 19-year-old Belleville man has been charged following an incident in the city’s east end.

Belleville police report officers were called to the east just after 3 a.m. Wednesday regarding a man going through vehicles in the neighbourhood.

When officers arrived they located a man “rummaging through a vehicle.” Consequently, the man was arrested by officers for trespassing at night. Further investigation revealed the 19-year-old man was also wanted on warrants, breaching a probation order and a recognizance entered into by a Justice.

The man was held for a show cause hearing.
