One person dead, three in hospital following collision

A two-vehicle collision on Highway 6 near Port Ryerse Road has left one person dead and three in hospital with life-threatening injuries Monday.

Norfolk OPP say preliminary investigation shows that one of the vehicles was travelling eastbound, and the other was travelling westbound when they collided head on just before 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 30.

Two people were airlifted to hospitals, and two people were sent by ambulance to local area hospitals, all with life-threatening injuries.

Highway 6 was closed for several hours between Port Ryerse Road and Blue Line Road for cleanup and investigation.
