Photo entries still welcomed for Dogs of Fall

A few Christmas-related ads might already be creeping onto our airwaves — eliciting shivers, for some, if not a minor convulsion — but last we looked out our windows, there was still a colourful canopy shading mostly greenish ground.

That means, of course, that the Dogs of Fall competition is still on!

We’ve got a pretty good mix of autumnal mutts in our inbox already, but we are nonetheless welcoming more submissions, up until Oct. 31.

The top entries will be published in the Saturday, Nov. 2 edition of The Star.

So scroll through your phones and photo libraries, or flip through old-fashioned albums, and find the best shots you have of your woofers enjoying this kaleidoscopic time of year.

We’d especially still like to see a few pix of bird dogs doing their darnedest on a hunt, and any dog donning a costume for Halloween.

But even if your dog is just trotting down a leaf-strewn path or sitting on a pumpkin-bedecked porch, we want to see that too.

Send your images, along with the name of your canine and a brief description of their fall activity, to jmoodie@postmedia.com.
