Police investigating fatal collision

A man was killed in a single vehicle collision on Beach Lane in the Houghton area.
On Wednesday at 2:57 p.m., police, fire services and paramedics responded to Beach Lane after a passer-by noticed a vehicle off the roadway and down a ravine. The vehicle appeared to have been involved in a collision.
Emergency crews located a male inside the vehicle with life threatening injuries. He died at the scene.
Police say a black Chevrolet pickup truck was travelling west bound on Beach Lane when the vehicle left the roadway, collided into some trees and travelled down the ravine.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
Beach Lane is currently closed at First Concession Road ENR.
The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time pending next of kin notification.
