The big news is the increase in sales at the Blind River location. Thanks mostly to pre-orders those stores raised $8,822, a 23% increase over last year’s total. They topped last year’s total by $2,066. The funds raised in Blind River go to the North Shore Health Network for medical necessities.

There were also plenty of volunteers from the food bank on hand this year to help decorate and deliver the cookies. Among the helpers were president Susan Kryzanowski, Liz Patterson and Gerry and Myrna Vallee. The food bank appreciates all the hard work that goes into baking, decorating and selling the cookies, as well as the generous support of those who purchased them.
