Police are investigating reports of a man who reportedly approached and exposed himself to three elementary school students in Woodstock Thursday morning.
In a memo to parents issued Thursday afternoon, the Thames Valley District school board said an unidentified man approached three Oliver Stephens public school students – one 11 and the other two 12 years old – around 8:45 a.m. on the walkway near East Park Drive and Bernadette Place.
The students were not harmed and quickly ran to school to report the incident to school staff, who called Woodstock Police in keeping with policy to ensure student safety, a board spokesperson said.
The description provided to police is of a five-foot-four white male in his mid-20s who had a small goatee and was wearing grey sweatpants, a hoodie and black Nike shoes. Police also described a vehicle of interest – a black four-door sedan with damage to the front passenger-side door and a missing gas cap cover.
Woodstock police said there is an ongoing investigation and expected more information to be released later Thursday.
Parents are encouraged to contact Woodstock police at 519-537-2323 if they have any information about this incident.
