Three Norfolk County residents have been charged in connection with an alleged $90,000 taxi fraud.

In May 2017, police received a report of an alleged fraud after Ontario Works staff found several inconsistencies in financial transactions with a taxi company in Simcoe. The allegations stem from transactions between 2014 and 2017.

On Feb. 13, police announced three people have been charged in the case.

The trio – two men, 29 and 46, and a woman, 53 – have each been charged with fraud over $5,000. They are slated to appear in court in Simcoe on March 10.
