Three Norfolk residents charged with drug trafficking

Three Norfolk County residents have been charged after police found drugs in a vehicle and a home in Port Dover.
Norfolk OPP say the suspects were charged after a drug trafficking investigation and the execution of a search warrant at a residence.
At about 11:50 a.m. on April 4, police stopped a vehicle on Nelson Street West in Port Dover. The driver and passenger were taken into custody. Police say a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of suspected cocaine and methamphetamine.
A 42-year-old man is charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking; unauthorized possession of a weapon; and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
A 53-year-old man is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
A short time later on April 4, police executed a search warrant at a home on St. Andrew Street in Port Dover where they say they discovered a quantity of suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine, hydromorphone and Adderall, along with a prohibited weapon, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia.
A 31-year-old woman has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking; unauthorized possession of a weapon; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose; and failure to comply with a release order.
Police say she was taken into custody to appear at a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe.
Both of the men facing charges are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on Tuesday, May 7.
