“The firefighters did a great job and had the fire under control in a relatively short time. Unfortunately, the fire was well advanced before the crews arrived on scene and the trailer was completely destroyed,” Norfolk County Fire Prevention Officer Michael Atkins said in a press release.

The scene was turned over to police once firefighters had the flames extinguished.

“The fire is being treated as suspicious and the investigation has been turned over to the OPP,” said Atkins. “The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office was notified but did not attend.”

No one was injured as a result of the blaze.
