United Way of Haldimand Norfolk announces funding allocations

The United Way of Haldimand and Norfolk has allocated funds to seven local organizations delivering 10 unique programs.
The funding focus is on social issues linked to overcoming poverty, supporting youth and creating thriving, strong communities, said George Araujo, United Way’s executive director. Families in need can access services provided by non-profit agencies supported by United Way.
“This announcement is an affirmation of the United Way’s continuing support of local agencies making Haldimand and Norfolk a better place to live for all,” said Araujo.
United Way president David Sykes said the community, including companies and businesses, “provided generous support, allowing United Way to continue funding unique programs that are available to everyone.”
“That you to our donors who make this possible,” said Sykes.
Organizations receiving support for 2024-25 are:
- Community Support Centre Haldimand Norfolk for the Cypress 55+ Program
- Dalhousie Place for Parenting After Separation
- Haldimand-Norfolk REACH for volunteer services and single session clinic
- Norfolk Association of Community Living for New Horizons Respite Service and Basic Job Readiness Training
- Cancer Support Norfolk for Cancer Support and Resource Program
- Norfolk Community Help Centre for settlement services
- True Experience Supportive Housing and Community Work Program for Path to Possibilities and Club TRUE
The amount of the funding allocations will be announced at the United Way of Haldimand Norfolk’s upcoming annual general meeting.
