Updates issued for Ontario Works clients

The Haldimand-Norfolk health and social services department announced provided updates for Ontario Works clients as part of its COVID-19 strategy.

Ontario Works clients must call their case managers before attending the offices in Simcoe and Dunnville. Assistance will be provided over the phone for all appointments.

Income cards for March do not need to be submitted. Participants will still receive their monthly benefits cheque.

Ontario Works life skills workshops are cancelled until further notice.

Anyone who needs to apply for Ontario Works can call the intake line at 519-426-6170 or 905-318-6623, ext. 3132.

Anyone who is homeless and needs emergency housing can call the homeless prevention intake line at 519-426-6170 or 905-318-6623, ext. 3134.
