Bent was buddies with Oren Shlomo Mayer, 37, a tattoo shop owner and former member of the Israel Defence Forces. The Israeli-American Mayer was extradited to Taiwan from the Philippines in September.

According to U.S. military newspaper Stars and Stripes, Bent served in the Marines for two years, with his last duty station being Okinawa.

Mayer encouraged him to move to Taiwan, where he worked as a teacher with Ryan.

The three men collaborated on selling marijuana to the large expatriate population. But when Ryan became known to cops because of a prior bust, his pals allegedly turned against him.

Bent and Mayer became suspicious that Ryan had turned stool pigeon and lured him to the park, where they murdered him after the trio drank some beer.

The accused killers put Ryan’s remains in black plastic garbage bags and tossed them into the river that went through the park.

Cops say they focused on the former Marine because the dead man’s phone revealed the two men had argued over drugs and also because cell towers showed he was in the area at the time of the murder.

Bent reportedly waited to spill his guts until Mayer was in bracelets because he was terrified of the beefy bodybuilder.

When cops turned up the heat, Bent confessed.

“Please don’t make me think back to such a terrible thing,” the report said he told police.

Taiwan News reported prosecutors are also investigating whether a third man was involved in the killing. Wu Hsuan, 21, a Taiwanese-Canadian man who worked as a nightclub promoter, was arrested after Ryan’s slaying.

Wu told cops he bought the machetes and stood watch while the duo did their grisly business.
