'TOUGH GUYS FOR TRUMP!': Trump blunders on Twitter, missing punchline of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' MAGA hat joke

It appears U.S. President Donald Trump has goofed on Twitter again.
On Monday, Trump tweeted a short clip from the Jan. 19 episode of the HBO show ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ that shows Larry David, portraying himself, avoid a confrontation with a motorcyclist by putting a Make American Great Again (MAGA) hat on.
“TOUGH GUYS FOR TRUMP,” the Republican President tweeted.
Social media users were quick to criticize Trump, however, claiming he missed the entire point of the joke.
In the clip, David cuts off the biker who then bursts into a fit of road rage — swearing and cursing David before riding up beside the driver’s side window.
“I oughta rip you out of that f—— car,’ the biker says. David then puts on the MAGA hat and the situation quickly de-escalates.
“I’m sorry I didn’t see ya,” David says, rolling down his car window while wearing the bright red hat. “Just be more careful next time,” the biker says in response before riding off.
But the main takeaway from the episode is that David discovers wearing the hat can be used as a “people repellant.”
“Wow, talk about not getting the joke,” one Twitter user wrote in response to Trump’s tweet. “Larry David was making fun of you,” another wrote.
The tweet marks the second time in recent memory that Trump has blundered on Twitter.
After the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV, Trump tweeted out congratulations to the team and the “Great State of Kansas.”
The Kansas City Chiefs play out of Missouri.
