War Machine tells porn star Christy Mack: 'I'm sorry'

Former MMA fighter War Machine is begging his ex-girlfriend Christy Mack for forgiveness.

War Machine — real name Paul Koppenhaver — was convicted in 2017 of kidnapping, battering and sexually assaulting the popular porn star in Las Vegas a few years earlier.

He was sentenced to life in prison for the barbaric two-hour frenzied attack. Jurors were unable to reach a verdict on two counts of attempted murder.

Mack — star of This is Someone’s Daughter 4, Naughty Bookworms 34 and Christy Mack Likes Girls Too! — suffered 18 broken bones in the attack, including a broken eye socket, broken nose, and a lacerated liver.

Koppenhaver attributed the attack to anxiety and depression.

Now, Mack fears she’s a dead woman if he’s ever released from prison.

But the former MMA fighter has broken his silence for an upcoming documentary.

“There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t regret that, and I hate it. Nobody hates me as much as I hate the man that I used to be,” he said.

“From the bottom of my heart, I apologize to Christy. I’m sorry, Christy.”

He added that since being in the big house he has become a born-again Christian and has is engaged to a 30-year-old woman who started writing him last year,

For Mack, 27, forgiveness may be a long way off.

“I never looked at him except when I was asked to identify him,” she said in April 2017. “He had mouthed that he loved me and that was extremely difficult.”

She added: “And I began bawling immediately. Because, for a long time, I did feel, you know, still emotionally connected to him.”

War Machine will be 71 when he’s eligible for parole.
