Legion members always go above and beyond to treat local seniors well and ensure they have a great time.

Also tops on their list are the youngsters and their party will be held on Sunday, Dec. 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. with games, crafts, cookie decorating and lots of fun. You may even see one certain someone with a fuzzy, white beard and dressed in a red suit.

Old Town Hall will be one busy place as well during this holiday season. Coming Dec. 6 (one week early) will be the Christmas edition of Old Town Hall Pub Nite. Featured entertainment for the night will be a local group, the Crooked Stovepipe Orchestra. There will be lots of food, drink, music and fun. Mark that date on your calendar and be sure to drop by between 6:30 and 9 p.m.

On Dec. 8, the fourth annual Town Hall Kids Festive Showcase will be held in the upper hall from 2 to 4 p.m. This year they are going to be partnering with the Art With Heart Studio and performers from both organizations will take to the stage to entertain you.

This pay-what-you-can family event will feature a variety of youth acts, sing-alongs and Christmas carols.

Organizers are still looking for “youth musicians, singers, dancers, comedians and more.” Alumni of Art With Heart or Old Town Hall Kids, who would like to take part can contact the organizations via private message on social media.

New this year to the holiday season line-up at Old Town Hall is ‘NYE at the OTH’. Your ticket gets you not only some great music, provided by The Shrubberies, but all night appys, a champagne toast at midnight and a cash bar.

“We’re glitzing up the hall all Gatsby-like so glam up roaring ’20’s style and ring in the New Year here in Norfolk,” states Claire Senko, artistic producer of OTH.

Tickets for this event are limited and on sale now. Cost is just $45 per person or $79 for two. Get your tickets so you can be a part of the first New Year’s Eve ball drop at OTH.

Whatever your holiday celebrations might include, remember that you don’t have to venture far to enjoy great local talent and fun times spent with family and friends.
